Back in 1994, Babe Ruth came to this establishment and met the station owner, and after a nice conversation over hot dogs that had been on the rollers for 3 days, autographed a photograph the owner conveniently had with him. Since then, tourists from all around visit this historical site, to see the lovely shrine to the Babe! In 2015, the Babe Ruth Memorial Gas Station was named Texas Monthly's #1 tourist destination!! families can take pics with the famous picture, the clerk at the counter who doesn't wanna be there, and the overpriced candy!
